| With rising energy bills turning people towards other ways to heat their homes, this year we are experiencing an unprecedented demand for chimney sweeps. We are now currently booked up until mid/ late November for sweeping appointments, and unless we get a cancelation will not be able to get to you as quickly as we may have in the past. With the warning this week from National Grid that- while unlikely- there was a small risk that households could lose power for up to three hours at a time I am now getting more request from new customers that want a chimney swept “in case it becomes my only form of heat this winter”. Whist I try my best to get round everybody the demand is so great there will be many that I simply cannot get to. Even if it is not possible to book a sweep in for 2022 I do recomend you book your sweep in for January as historicaly December is warmer than January and Februrary, also the first 3 months of the year have more chimney fires than any other month, |
